science center

We took a trip to the Science Center today with some friends. They had a lego castle display where you could build your own castle. The kids had a good time running around by the big lego sculptures and playing with the costumes and on the castle slide.

model rockets

For family night a couple of months ago we made a model rocket. It was a lot of fun and Stephen loved helping make a rocket. I think he was a little dissapointed when he realized we wouldn't actually be going in it to fly to space. So when there's a nice cloudy day that won't melt us, we go out to the pig farm and launch them. Brady thinks it's really funny to watch the rockets come down and see Dad running to try and catch them.

swimming lessons

The boys had swimming lessons this summer. They both loved them and were sad that they are over now. Stephen's finally faced his fear of jumping off the side of the pool. Hopefully he'll keep practicing so it's not such a hard thing for him.

Fool Hollow Lake

We went camping this last week at Fool Hollow Lake in Show Low. It was a lot of fun and the boys had a great time. There were two playgrounds and they were close enough to ride power wheels to. All of the Tucker cousins were there atleast part of the time, so that was fun.

One morning there was a nature walk with the forest ranger. Stephen kept saying he was really excited to go on a walk and hold the ranger's hand. I think he was a little dissapointed. He did enjoy bringing his "telescope" to look for things on the hike.
Brady's favorite part was looking for flowers. He'd be riding the quad and stop really quickly to jump off and yell FLOWER! Then he'd pick one and hop back on to start riding again.

There were a lot of rocks to climb everywhere around camp. I think the boys are head to toe scratches and bruises.

Grandma Tucker and the kiddos.
Stephen's all-time favorite part about the playground- the tire swing.

The boys' favorite book is The Three Billy Goats' Gruff, so they loved clip-clopping across this bridge and pretending there was a troll living underneath.

Skipping rocks with Dad.
Our new camp chef.

Easter 2009

It's a little late, but I thought I should post some Easter pics since Stephen loves Easter so much.

Rocky Point

March was Spring Break, and we always go to Rocky Point with Blake's family. It was really nice to hang on the beach all week and watch the boys play with their cousins and push their dump trucks up and down the sand. Stephen and Blake rode on the banana boat with some of the girls; Stephen loved it! Other than that we just hung out, played, and ate lots of tacos.

Snow Day in AZ?

One random Tuesday in February, Blake was supposed to be working in Globe (a small mountain town). Well, it snowed a lot on Monday night and the only road to town was shut down. It was going to open at ten, so he was excited to have a couple hours off work. Then the office just decided to cancel the day. We bundled up the kids and left for Payson. They had a good time, well for a while anyway. It was a bit too cold for Brady. Stephen had fun making his very own snowman.

Sand Dunes

In January we took a trip to the Imperial Sand Dunes in CA. Stephen has such a great time every time we go. Brady has fun too, but he's still a little unsure about going so fast in the Rhino. He does enjoy pushing his dump truck all around and playing on the trailer though.
