Almost birthday time!

I started this blog a year ago and forgot, so I thought I'd start using it now. I feel like I've given it enough time to sit and settle. It should be ready to go.

To start off: we have two kids at the moment, both boys, both crazy. We love them a lot and they are so much fun. We had a dog for a few months. She was very pretty and fun to take camping. Other than that, she dug holes, ate sprinklers, and woke up barking everyday at five in the morning. Now we have no pets and are just fine with that.

In September Stephen will turn three and Bradford will turn one. Stephen is very excited for his birthday this year. The first year he fell asleep after we sang, so he didn't even get any cake. The second year he had fun, but didn't really know it was coming until everyone was here. This time I think he understands what's coming and he can't wait. He's been running into our room each morning yelling "wake up Mom! my birthday's coming quick! get the ballons-hurry!" It's really cute, but he still has five weeks to go.

We've been asking Stephen what he wants for his birthday and what he wants to get Brady. He hasn't really said what he wants for his present, but he told us what he wanted to get his brother one night. We were driving home from my dad's house and he was just talking to himself in the back seat. Blake and I were listening and trying not to laugh so we could hear the rest of his story. It went something like: I'm going to go to the P-U store and get some poop for Brady. I'll put some frosting and sprinkles on it and sing happy birthday to you happy birthday to Brady happy birthday to you...here's your poo!" Then he pretended to blow out the candle and hand the poo to his baby brother who was sleeping in the carseat next to him. I'm not sure where he came up with the P-U store or why he thought flaming poo would be a good present, but he thought he was being really nice and that he picked a good present that Brady would really like. We decided it would be better to just get him a dump truck instead.
